TEDxAberystwyth 2020 speaker
Dr Thomas Smyth is an aeolian (windblown) and coastal geomorphologist, who is a Senior Lecturer the University of Huddersfield. He is predominantly investigating sand dune dynamics and shipwreck site formation processes! In his research he focuses on measuring and modelling near surface fluid dynamics in aeolian, marine and Martian environments.
He will join us at TEDxAberystwyth to talk about how sand dunes changing and why it matters. It is a highly relevant topic, considering our close neighbourhood of Ynyslas sand dunes, which are home to a rich population of species, some of which are unknown elsewhere in Britain.
