Please note that we do not accept speakers from outside of the UK and we give platform to local speakers. We generally do not accept speaker applications, as we have a full rooster for the next few years. However, if you would like to recommend a local speaker from Wales to which you have a contact that could help us, please do get in touch below. By sending us another blanket email from outside of UK, you are wasting our volunteers’ valuable time, which could otherwise be used to organise the event.

What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxAberystwyth, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxAberystwyth event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
