Catherine Elan Taylor, together with Keith Morris, edits the Humans of Aberystwyth Facebook page. The page, inspired by Humans of New York, explores
through photographs and interviews that every person has a story and can teach you something new. Every Tuesday for the last three years Catherine Elan Taylor and Keith Morris been working on the Humans of Aberystwyth project. They have meet some fantastic people and taken some amazing photographs.

Catherine will share the idea behind the project, which shows that knowing a little about the people we meet, as we go through our every day lives, enhances our social experience and sense of cohesion. It shows how we are all human of value and ultimately equal. Catherine has a curious personality and has always loved stories and people. She believes that honest sharing benefits teller and listener.

What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxAberystwyth, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxAberystwyth event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
