Morwenna Lewis is a UKCP Psychotherapist and Parenting Coach. She specialises in helping families where addiction to screens and tech have fragmented the family system and left the parents and children experiencing disconnection and grief. She works in a systemic way, focusing on the relationships and attachment styles within the family as the addiction is often a symptom of underlying disconnection and emotional isolation.
She is interested in how our increasing screen time use is affecting our brains, and the ways these changes alter our ability to connect with each other and our capacity to create emotionally rich relationships.
In her talk she asks how is the screen time epidemic changing our brilliant and sensitive brains? And what do these changes mean for the future of the human species?
She will explore these questions from a social, psychological and evolutionary perspective, and for the gamblers amongst you she will ask ‘would you put your money on team homo sapiens?’
