The way in which humans interpret the world is governed largely by both experience and knowledge. In the era of digital communication, the packaging of information, such that it can be transmitted from one party to another or a number of others, is a fundamental, atomic and intrinsic part of this communication process.
From the birth of the internet and the world-wide-web, to more recent advances in Large Language Models and Generative AI, we continue to witness the impact of how the packaging of information influences human interpretation and learning. In this talk, three different perspectives, from the inception of computer networks to more recent developments of Large Language Model (AI) chatbots, chart how information packaging has affected learning, in general and university education in particular.
