David Stones is a civil engineer working to protect the Earth’s resources. David speaks about how we can make new and old houses address the Climate Emergency. His explores the environmental impact of housing and dispels the myth that it is expensive and difficult to build low-energy homes. David shows how building methods can be changed quite simply to support and accelerate the journey to zero carbon.

What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxAberystwyth, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxAberystwyth event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
