TEDxAberystwyth 2019 speaker

Stephen Fearn is the Founder and Club Leader of the Aberystwyth Robotics Club. The Club was set up to support young people with no previous experience to explore building technology through the medium of building robots. Stephen has a long history of building interactive robots, including Doris the Dalek, a K-9 and an R2D2.

In addition, in his spare time Stephen is also the founder and driving force being Aber Steampunk, a weekend of Steampunk activities, fun and entertainment based Aberystwyth.

What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxAberystwyth, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxAberystwyth event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
